1850s Cap

This project challenged me to research historical patterns and recreate a historically accurate headpiece. In the process of making this cap I often struggled with feeling like I wasn´t doing the period garments justice, but I later realised that there was never just one solution, pattern or shape in history and my process didn´t have to be the same as everyone elses.
